Sikkim TET 2026 Exam Details

  • Single-Day Examination: Both Paper I (Primary Level) and Paper II (Graduate Level) will be conducted on October 11, 2026.
  • Single Category Restriction: Eligible applicants are permitted to appear in only one category—either Primary Level or Graduate Level.
  • Certificate Award: All candidates who qualify the examination will be awarded an official STET certificate in person upon presenting their original admit card.
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates scoring 60% or more are considered STET qualified. A 5% relaxation in qualifying marks is extended to SC, ST, Central OBC, and State OBC candidates.
  • Improvement Opportunity: Qualified candidates may re-appear in subsequent years to improve their test scores.

Eligibility Details

1. Primary Teacher Level (Classes I to V – Paper I)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, Central OBC, State OBC) AND passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, Central OBC, State OBC) AND passed a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, Central OBC, State OBC) AND passed a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

2. Graduate Teacher Level (Classes VI to VIII – Paper II)

  • B.A./B.Sc. with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, Central OBC, State OBC) AND passed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). OR
  • B.A./B.Sc. with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, Central OBC, State OBC) AND passed a 2-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.). OR
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks (45% for SC, ST, Central OBC, State OBC) AND passed a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
