UPSC ESE 2026: Educational Qualifications

Requirement
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
For certain posts, completion of Sections A and B of the Institution of Engineers (India) may be considered equivalent.

UPSC ESE 2026: Salary and Pay Scale

The selected candidates will be appointed to Group A and Group B services with the following pay scales:

Group A (Gazetted) Posts: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level 10)
Group B Posts: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 (Level 6)

Note: The pay scale is subject to the 7th Central Pay Commission recommendations.
