Vacancy Details

The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission has announced 379 vacancies across Group C accounts positions. These include roles such as Assistant Accountant, Accountant, Junior Auditor, Office Assistant-III, and Cashier cum Assistant Accountant across various state departments, public sector undertakings, and district treasuries.

Education Details

• Accountant (BRIDCUL): B.Com with MBA (Finance) / PGDBA (Finance) or M.Com with a minimum of 5 years relevant post-qualification experience, including 3 years in the immediate lower grade.

• Assistant Accountant / Junior Auditor: B.Com degree / BBA / Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from a recognized university. Most posts require a typing speed of 4,000 key depressions per hour on computer (or DOEACC O-Level for specific departments).

• Office Assistant-III (Accounts): B.Com degree with knowledge of Hindi Devanagari script, 1-year computer diploma/certificate, and computer typing speed of 6,000 key depressions/hr in Hindi and 7,000 key depressions/hr in English.

• Cashier cum Assistant Accountant: B.Com or equivalent from a recognized institution with knowledge of maintaining petty cash books and accounting.

Salary

• Accountant: Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400/- (Pay Level-06)

• Assistant Accountant / Junior Auditor: Rs. 29,200 – 92,300/- or Rs. 29,800 – 94,300/- (Pay Level-05)

• Office Assistant-III (Accounts): Rs. 27,200 – 86,100/- (Pay Level-04)

• Cashier cum Assistant Accountant: Rs. 25,500 – 81,100/- (Pay Level-04)

Age Limit

Calculated as on 01 July 2026:

• Assistant Accountant / Junior Auditor (Jal Sansthan): Minimum 18 years to Maximum 42 years.

• All Other Posts: Minimum 21 years to Maximum 42 years.

• Age Relaxation:

  • SC / ST / OBC Candidates of Uttarakhand: 5 years

  • Divyang Candidates of Uttarakhand: 10 years

  • Dependents of Freedom Fighters: 5 years

  • Ex-Servicemen: As per government rules

Selection Process

1. Written Competitive Examination: An objective-type offline (OMR based) or online test of 100 marks with a 2-hour duration focusing on Commerce, Business Administration, and Accountancy. Negative marking of 0.25 marks applies for every incorrect answer.

2. Skill / Typing Test: Qualifying computer typing test as applicable to specific posts.

3. Document Verification: Verification of original academic certificates, employment registration, and reservation credentials.

• Unreserved (UR) / Uttarakhand OBC: Rs. 300.00

• Uttarakhand SC / ST / EWS: Rs. 150.00

• Uttarakhand Divyang: Rs. 150.00

• Orphans: Exempted (Rs. 0.00)
