Seat Matrix
The university offers seats across its constituent (Government) and affiliated (Private) colleges:
B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture: 360 regular seats, 13 payment seats, and 126 Category “A” seats in affiliated colleges.
B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry: 60 seats.
EWS Quota: An additional 10% supernumerary seats are allocated under the EWS category.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the two-year Intermediate Examination (Bi.P.C. / M.Bi.P.C) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P., or an equivalent recognized examination.
The required subjects include Physical Sciences and Biological or Natural Sciences.
Age Limit (As on 31st December 2026)
General Category: Minimum 17 years and Upper age limit is 22 years (born between 01st January 2005 – 31st December 2009).
SC & ST Candidates: Minimum 17 years and Upper age limit is 25 years (born between 01st January 2002 – 31st December 2009).
Physically Challenged Candidates: Minimum 17 years and Upper age limit is 27 years (born between 01st January 2000 – 31st December 2009).
Reservation and Farmers’ Quota
Farmers’ Quota: 40% of the seats are reserved for candidates coming from families of Agriculturist cum Rural Area. Candidates must own a minimum of 1 acre of land and have studied for at least 4 years in schools located in Non-Municipal areas.
Women’s Reservation: 33.33% of the seats are reserved in favor of women candidates from each category.
Selection Process
Selection is based on the state-level ranks obtained in AP EAPCET 2026.
The merit list, presidential order, region, and social status are considered for seat allotment.
In case of a tie in ranks, marks secured in the optional subjects of the qualifying examination, followed by the candidate’s age, will be used to break the tie.
