Indian Coast Guard AC 01/2024 Batch: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Applicants must Pass Intermediate/ XIIth Class/ Bachelor’s degree/ B.E/ B.Tech/ Equivalent from the recognized Organization/Board
Additional Eligibility Criteria.
- Candidates withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any other service training academy are not eligible to appear.
- Candidates should not have been arrested, convicted or prosecuted on criminal charges.
- If there is no vacancy for SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy)/EWS category candidates, in such case, reserved category candidates can apply as unreserved, however, they will not be eligible for any age and passing marks concession/relaxation. SC/ST candidates can only be exempted from payment of application fee.
- Candidates who are studying in the final year/ semester degree course and are yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply provided candidate should not have any backlog and should have secured a minimum of 60% marks up to the last semester/ year for which results have been declared up to the time of submission of application. They are required to submit proof of passing the degree examination by 30 May 23 and no request for extending this date will be entertained on the grounds of late conduct of basic qualifying University Examination, delay in declaration of results or any other ground whatsoever. Such candidates have to produce a certificate signed by Registrar/Controller of the university regarding non declaration of finalyear/semester result.(Format available on website)

Selection Process
- Short Listing.
- Preliminary Selection Examination -> Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP & DT).
- Final Selections -> Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test).
Stage-I (CGCAT).
Stage-I would include the conduct of screening Test for the eligible applicants which will be a Computer Based Examination conducted at various centres all over India. A screening test is to be conducted for candidates applying for the post of GD/CPL and Technical(Mechanical/Electrical & Electronics).The screening test will be conducted in MCQ pattern with maximum marks of 400 consisting of 100questions with four marks for each correct answer and one negative marking for each incorrect answer. The duration of the exam will be of two hours and the medium of the test paper will be English. The candidate has to take the following tests depending on post applied:-

Candidates (except SC/ST candidates, who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred Fifty Only)through online mode by using net banking or by using Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI. The important instructions for filling up of the online applications are as given below: –
- The name of the candidate, father/mother’s name and date ofbirth should be same as mentioned in theXth class passing certificate. Any mismatch in name & date of birth in the applicationwill result in rejection of the application.
- Indicate exact percentage of XIIthand Graduation marks upto two decimals and this is not to be rounded off.
- Candidates to choose any one venue for PSB out of the options displayed.
- Filling up of information like personal email ID and Mobile number of the candidate is compulsory. The date, time and venue of the test and other information will be informed through personal email ID or CG Recruitment website.
- Applicants, either current or permanent address of online applicationshould be same as the address mentioned in caste/category certificate (SC, ST, OBC& EWS).
- In case of OBC Non Creamy Layer (NCL), the category certificate should be as per the format for appointment for post under the Govt. of India. The format of the OBC (Non Creamy) certificate is available on ICG website (No other format will be entertained). Any other format will lead to cancellation of candidature.
