RIMC Dehradun Admission Form 2026 January: Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun, has Released a Notification for the Admission of Boys and Girls to Class 8th for the Jan 2026 term. Notification has been released for the RIMC Entrance Exam June 2025 for the term commencing in January 2026. The Qualifying Exam will be held on 01 Jun 2025 (Sunday) Across the country. The Last date for Registrations is March 31, 2025. A detailed notification can be found in the pdf below.
RIMC Admission Process
Approximately 25 cadets are admitted every six months. Candidates should not be less than 11 years of age or must not have attained the age of 13 on 01 (Jan) or 01 (July) of the Term they join in. Admissions are made to Class 8 only. The candidate must be studying in Class 7th or have passed Class 7 from a recognised school at the time of joining. Application forms are to be submitted to the respective State Governments. Candidates are selected on the basis of their performance in an All India Entrance Examination held twice a year comprising a written examination of question papers in English (125 Marks), Mathematics (200 Marks) and General Knowledge (75 Marks), Successful candidates are called for Viva-Voce test (50 marks).

Educational Qualification
The candidate should either be studying in Class 7 or passed Class 7th from any recognised school at the time of admission to the RIMC, i.e. on 01 Jan 2026.
Age limit
Boys and Girls both are eligible to apply for admission to the RIMC, Dehradun. The candidate should be in the age bracket of 11½ to 13 years as on 01 Jan 2026, i.e., they should not be born earlier than 02 Jan 2013 and not later than 01 Jul 2014. The applicants should be informed that no application for change in the date of birth, from that originally given by them would be entertained later by the college authorities.

The Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained by making online payment of Rs 600/- for General Candidates & Rs. 555/- for SC/ST candidates on RIMC website rimc.gov.in (on receipt of the payment, the Prospectus cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers will be dispatched by Speed Post only).
By Sending Demand Draft
The Prospectus-cum-Application Form and Booklet of Old Question Papers can be obtained by sending a written request with a demand draft of Rs 600/- for General Candidates & Rs 555/- for SC/ST candidates along with caste certificate in favour of “THE COMMANDANT RIMC FUND”, DRAWEE BRANCH, HDFC BANK, BALLUPUR CHOWK, DEHRADUN, (BANK CODE-1399), UTTARAKHAND. The address should be typed/written clearly in CAPITAL LETTERS with a PIN code and contact number. RIMC will NOT be responsible for any postal delay or loss in transit of the prospectus caused by an illegible or incomplete address. The delay on part of postal department is not the responsibility of RIMC.

viva-voce
The viva-voce will be held for only those candidates who qualify the written exam. The list will be sent to the respective State Governments by the RIMC after approval from HQ ARTRAC. he date for viva-voce (designed primarily to test the intelligence, personality, & communication skills of candidates) will be intimated later.

Result will be uploaded on RIMC website www.rimc.gov.in. Candidates are responsible for regularly checking the website for a latest status updates. It is mandatory for all the selected candidates to join RIMC within 10 days of receipt of the Joining Instructions. Joining Instructions will be sent to the email ID as mentioned in the Application Form by the candidates.
