TN Schools Quarterly & Hall Yearly Exams 2025-26 Highlights
- Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi has announced key dates for quarterly and half-yearly examinations, as well as holidays, for the 2025-2026 academic year in government schools.
- According to the School Education Department’s academic calendar, quarterly exams for students from Classes 1 to 12 will be conducted from September 18 to 26, 2025.
- Following this, schools will remain closed for the quarterly holidays from September 27 to October 5, and will reopen on October 6.
- The half-yearly exams are scheduled to take place from December 15 to 23. The half-year holidays will begin from December 24, and schools will reopen after a 12-day break on January 5, 2026.
- The public examination schedule will be released in October 2025.
- These dates offer clarity for students, parents, and teachers to plan the academic term ahead. The complete exam and holiday schedule will be made available in the School Education Department’s official calendar.

The Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu, has announced the 6th,7th,8th,9th, 10th, 11th & 12th Standard Half Yearly Exam Time Table 2025 on the official web portal online mode. Tamil Nadu will conduct half-yearly examinations from 13th December to 15th December 2025.
