Detailed Topic-Wise Syllabus Breakdown

1. Child Development and Pedagogy with ICT Integration (30 Marks)

• Understanding the Child & Development: Concept of childhood, physical-motor, emotional, social, moral, and language development; Theories of Piaget, Kohlberg, Vygotsky, Chomsky, Erikson, and Bandura; Individual differences, multiple intelligences (Gardner), personality assessment, and mental health.
• Understanding Learning: Theories of learning (Trial & Error, Classical Conditioning, Operant Conditioning, Insight, Social Learning, Constructivism – 5E Model); Memory, forgetting, and transfer of learning.
• Pedagogical Concerns: Inclusive education, differentiated learning, Individualized Education Plan (IEP), CCE, educational acts/policies (RTE 2009, POCSO, NCF 2005, APSCF 2011, NEP 2020, NCFSE-2023).
• Information & Communication Technology (ICT): Computer hardware, software, Open Educational Resources (OERs), educational software (Canva, Moodle, DIKSHA, MOOCs), netiquette, cyber security, and integrating multimedia into lesson plans.

2. Language I (30 Marks: 24 Marks Content + 6 Marks Methodology)

• Available choices: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Odia, Sanskrit.
• Content (24 Marks): Reading comprehension (unseen prose and poetry), textbook poets and authors, genres, vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, idioms, proverbs, etymology), and grammar (sandhi, samasa, chandassu, alankaras, parts of speech, active/passive constructions).
• Methodology (6 Marks): Aims and objectives of language teaching, language acquisition skills (LSRW), teaching-learning materials (TLM), lesson planning, and Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).

3. Language II – English (30 Marks: 24 Marks Content + 6 Marks Methodology)

• Vocabulary: Synonyms, antonyms, homophones, homonyms, idioms, phrasal verbs, word formation (prefixes/suffixes), compound words, one-word substitutes, and collocations.
• Grammar & Conventions: Parts of speech, tenses, active/passive voice, direct & indirect speech, types of sentences, degrees of comparison, linkers, modal auxiliaries, conditional clauses (If clauses), question tags, and punctuation.
• Discourses & Phonetics: Letter writing, diary entry, notice, biographical sketch; Vowel and consonant sounds, phonetic articulation, stress, and intonation.
• Methodology (6 Marks): Principles of teaching English as a second language, LSRW skill development, approaches and remedial teaching methods, curricular planning, and assessment.

4. Mathematics (Paper-I: 30 Marks / Paper-II: 20 Marks + Methodology)

• Number System: Four fundamental operations, Indian and International numeration systems, prime factorization, HCF, LCM, fractions, decimals, rational and irrational numbers, square/cube roots, sets, and real numbers.
• Arithmetic & Commercial Math: BODMAS, ratios and proportions, percentages, profit and loss, discount, simple and compound interest, GST.
• Geometry & Mensuration: Basic geometric terms, 2D/3D shapes, polygons, triangle properties, quadrilaterals, circle theorems, Euler’s rule, perimeters, surface area, and volumes (cuboid, cylinder, cone, sphere).
• Algebra, Statistics & Trigonometry: Linear equations, polynomials, algebraic identities, exponents, arithmetic & geometric progressions; Mean, median, mode, probability, coordinate geometry, trigonometric ratios, and heights & distances.

5. Environmental Studies & Sciences (EVS / Physical Science / Biological Science)

• Living World & Biology: Cell structure, plant and animal tissues, organ systems, human physiology, nutrition, respiration, reproduction, heredity, ecosystems, biodiversity, and forestry.
• Physical Sciences: Motion, forces, pressure, friction, gravitation, work & energy, heat, light (reflection/refraction), sound, electricity, magnetism, metallurgy, carbon compounds, and atomic structure.
• Methodology: Nature and history of science, aims/objectives based on revised Bloom’s taxonomy, TLM, planning, and evaluation.

6. Social Studies (Paper-I EVS: 12 Marks / Paper-II: 60 Marks)

• Diversity on the Earth & Geography: Solar system, latitudes/longitudes, realms of Earth, landforms, weather, climate, water bodies, Indian relief features, and natural vegetation.
• Production, Exchange & Livelihoods: Agriculture, minerals, power resources, industries, poverty, food security, public facilities, and economic development.
• Political Systems, Governance & History: Early kingdoms, Mauryan, Gupta, Satavahana, Kakatiya, and Vijayanagara empires; British colonial rule, 1857 Revolt, Indian National Movement; Indian Constitution, Parliament, Judiciary, and marginalization issues.

7. Special Education – Disability Specialization (Paper-II B: 60 Marks)

• Comprehensive coverage of major impairment domains: Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Hearing Impairment (HI), Learning Disabilities (LD), Mental Retardation / Intellectual Disability (ID), Multiple Disabilities (MD), and Visual Impairment (VI).
• Assessment strategies, individualized educational planning (IEP), universal design for learning (UDL), assistive technology tools, and family/community-based rehabilitation practices.

Effective Preparation Tips for AP TET 2026

1. Master SCERT Textbooks: Strictly review Andhra Pradesh State Board textbooks from Classes 3 to 10 for content subjects (Mathematics, EVS, Science, and Social Studies).
2. Give Special Focus to Pedagogy & ICT: Allocate dedicated study hours to Child Psychology, inclusive education strategies, and ICT tools, as they form 20% to 25% of the overall paper weightage.
