NEET SS 2025 Notification PDF Details
NEET-SS 2025 is a qualifying-cum-ranking examination for admission to DM/MCh courses of the 2025 admission session. The schedule for completing the Admission Process for DM/MCh Super-specialty courses for the 2025-2026 admission session is available in the information bulletin.
No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016 w.e.f. 2017 admission session. Qualifying in the NEET-SS is mandatory for entry into DM/MCh courses at various universities and institutions across the country.
NEET SS 2025 Exam Details
NEET-SS 2025 shall be the single eligibility cum entrance examination for admission to Super Specialty Courses for the academic session 2025-26 which will include the following:
- All DM/MCh Courses in the country including all Private Medical Colleges/Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities.
- All DM/MCh courses at Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions
- All DNB Super-specialty Courses
The following Medical institutions are not covered for admission to DM/MCh courses through NEET-SS for 2025-24 admission session:
- AIIMS, New Delhi
- PGIMER, Chandigarh
- JIPMER, Puducherry
- NIMHANS, Bengaluru
- Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram
No state government/private medical college/University including the UT of Jammu & Kashmir shall be conducting any separate entrance for admission to their DM/MCh Courses for the academic session 2025-24.
Candidates are advised to read the Information Bulletin carefully and go through the instructions regarding submission of online application form given in the information bulletin as well as on NEET-SS index page on NBE website www.nbe.edu.in before starting online submission process for NEET SS 2025.

NEET SS 2025 Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet/fulfill the following criteria:
Candidates who own a recognized postgraduate medical Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate (MD/MS/DNB) or an equivalent recognized qualification or are likely to own the same by 30th September 2025 in accordance with the eligible feeder specialty qualifications for super specialty courses as mentioned in Annexure B of this Information Bulletin can apply for NEET-SS 2025.
Candidates found to be ineligible at any stage of NEET-SS 2025 will not be permitted to appear in the examination. In the unlikely event of any ineligible candidate appearing and/or being successful in NEET-SS 2025, the result/ candidature of such a candidate shall be canceled and/or deemed to be canceled as and when the ineligibility is detected.
Registration with NMC/State Medical Council is mandatory, and its documentary proof should be furnished at the test Centre on the examination day.

The fee is uniform across all categories and must be paid online during application submission. It is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted or transferred to future exams. The fee for the year 2025 is reduced from the previous year’s 4,250 INR per group to 3,500 INR per group.

The exam is conducted in computer-based test (CBT) mode over two days with two shifts each day. The NEET SS 2025 exam was initially scheduled for November 7-8 but has been officially rescheduled to December 26-27, 2025. Candidates should expect sectional time-bound papers with a total duration of 150 minutes per shift.

Instructions to Fill Online NEET SS 2025 Application Form
New User Registration: All candidates desirous of applying for NEET SS 2025 are required to create an online profile to generate a UserID and Password.
Applicant Login: This User ID and Password so created will allow the candidate to log in as an applicant for NEET SS 2025 and register an online application. The “Go To Application” link will allow the applicant to continue with the application submission immediately after user creation.
Candidates are advised not to complete their application registration process hastily to avoid errors in providing information.

Summary of Steps in Online Application Form Submission
The following sequence shall be observed while filing the online application form:
- Fill the user registration form to generate the User ID/Application ID and Password.
- User ID and Password will be sent through SMS and Email.
- Complete the application form and upload your Photograph, Scanned signature, Thumb impression & Prescribed documents.
- Choose your Test City and pay the Examination Fee
- Agree to the declaration and Submit the Application
- Take a printout of the filled Application form with Transaction ID printed on it for records
Scheme of NEET SS Examination
NEET-SS 2025 shall be conducted as a computer-based examination. The different groups shall be examined in the morning or afternoon shifts on 9th September 2025 and 10th September 2025 as per the details given below.
The list of Super specialty courses for which NEET-SS 2025 shall be conducted can be seen at Annexure C along with prior entry qualifications i.e. feeder broad/super specialty qualifications eligible for a particular super specialty course.
The scheme of NEET-SS 2025 is as follows:
- A candidate can choose a maximum of two super specialty courses for which his/her broad specialty qualification is eligible, at the time of online submission of the application form.
- The pattern of examination: 40% of the questions shall be from all the eligible feeder broad specialty course(s) and the remaining 60% shall be from the super specialty course selected by the candidate at the time of online submission of the application form.
- NBE may club certain super specialties in which the number of seats offered is less.
Question Paper: There shall be a separate question paper for each super specialty course /clubbed group. Total number of questions in each question paper shall be 100 which shall be divided into two Parts; Part A & Part B. All the questions shall be at PG Exit level
Marking Scheme: There shall be 25% negative marking for incorrect answers. No marks will be deducted for unattempted questions. Allocation of marks for each MCQ shall be as follows:
